Healthy Eating Habits

Here are some "new year" tips to getting in better shape and getting heart healthy for the whole family:

Drink several glasses of water each day

Get your fresh fruits such as applies, oranges, grapes, peaches.

Veggies aren't just for watching on tv - cut up carrot sticks, celery, radishes and other yummy treats to have on hand when the snack monster comes!

Cubed cheese is a great way to get your dairy and calcium! Yum!

Lay off the sugar and diet drinks, plain water or tea is better for you!

Good Carbs:  switch to whole wheat break or Healthy Choice. These have better fiber, vitamins and minerals than plain white bread.

 

GET MOVING!

Any kind of exercise is good for you so get out and walk the dog! Take the stairs. Get on your bike and go for a family adventure! Go for a walk, even in the rain you can get out and enjoy the air! Just dress appropriately.
